How do I know if I need therapy?
Therapy can be helpful to address a variety of concerns. If you have noticed any
negative changes such as difficulty sleeping, low motivation, increased irritability
or feeling too nervous to complete your usual activities, therapy can be helpful
in helping you overcome these difficulties. Other behaviors such as problems focusing
at work or school, a drop in grades or work performance or difficulty completing
tasks may be an indication that therapy is indicated. Talk with your Doctor or call
us with any concerns you may have.

an appointment to discuss your options and make a decision that you are comfortable
with.

I already have a psychiatrist. Can I still receive treatment
at the Juniper Clinic?
Therapy can be a great complement to medication and is recommended in most cases
for optimum results. Our treatment providers will co-ordinate your care with your
existing psychiatrist, with your consent, to ensure continuity of care and address
all your mental health needs.

Is medication the only option for treating ADD/ADHD?
Medications can often be helpful for ADHD, and in some cases they seem to be essential
for tolerable or satisfactory functioning. Some people can seem to get by without
medications, but consideration of potential risks and benefits of a trial on medication
is generally recommended for children and adults who have problems associated with
ADHD. Key Idea: Medications relieve symptoms of ADHD while they are being taken,
but they do not ’Äòcure’Äô the disorder.
